The Longreach Archival and Historical Research Group recently held a RADF funded workshop on dating old photographs. Titled ‘Unlocking Secrets’ the workshop was held with Dr Kari Anderson at the Longreach Arts and Crafts Centre. During the workshop attendees investigated a number of the Archival Groups photographs along with some of their own personal family photos. The group learnt not only the tools on how to date photographs, but many of the tricks of the trade used by the photographers when taking the photographs.
You can view the photographs used in the workshop and the details unearthed from them in the current exhibition at the Longreach Library, 106 Eagle Street, Longreach.
The Exhibition will run until late May 2016.
